Mr. Pedersen's practice focuses on real estate transactions and civil litigation. His experience and advocacy in real estate transactions has covered all aspects of the purchase and sale of residential, multi-family and commercial properties, as well as manufactured housing communities and self storage facilities, from initial inspections to closing, and includes entity formation, IRC Section 1031 exchanges, leases, and the negotiation and documentation of all such transactions.
Mr. Pedersen's litigation background helps his clients to identify, avoid and promptly address risks and disputes that arise before and after closing.
Mr. Pedersen's civil litigation practice emphasizes real estate sales and nondisclosure, brokerage disputes, insurance coverage, and defective construction. He has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution as a mediator as well as an advocate, and is a settlement conference panelist for the Marin County Superior Court.
