Stephen M. Flynn Associate
Stephen Flynn is a litigator whose practice is centered primarily on complex real estate, corporate and financial transactions, including, real property backed debt restructurings, workouts and foreclosures; entity formation, including complex partnership tax allocations, tiered partnerships and hybrid entities; financial and corporate regulation of secured real and personal property based transactions; purchase, sale, exchange and leasing transactions; and financing for start-up companies and real estate investment syndicates.
Mr. Flynn is experienced in assessing potentially unfavorable tax repercussions of a proposed transaction, structuring the transaction to avoid or mitigate those consequences, and supplying tax advantageous solutions.
In addition to his transactional practice, Mr. Flynn has experience litigating business and corporate disputes, commercial guarantees and foreclosures, financial litigation, general real estate, and insurance coverage disputes. Published decisions include Pine Terrace Apartments, L.P. v. Windscape, LLC, (2009) 170 Cal. App. 4th 1, and Suncreek Sacramento Apartments, LP v. Cambridge Advantaged Properties II, LP. (2010) 187 Cal. App. 4th 1.
